Our Bonaire dream
Hello! We are Mario and Vera Dohmen, the faces behind Casa di Mario, your guesthouse on Bonaire.
Our family, including our children Jordie and Femke, moved to this paradise island in June 2015, driven by the dream of a life on this beautiful island. Immediately after our arrival, we transformed our guesthouse into an inviting retreat for holidaymakers. We have been welcoming holiday guests since February 2017, aiming for an unforgettable stay in one of the most beautiful locations on the island.
Our children, Jordie and Femke, are now studying in the Netherlands. Vera provides support in the guesthouse, but is also the director of Het Koraal Primary School. In doing so, she is committed to equal opportunities for all children on Bonaire. Mario is always ready for the guests of the guesthouse and makes everything that can be made. In addition, he can often be found as a volunteer in Bonaire’s bird sanctuary.
Together we share a love for the idyllic tranquility of Bonaire, and enjoy spending our weekends at Sorobon Lac Bay, enjoying windsurfing and island life.
